WHAT IF A MOUSE GOT INSIDE MY HOUSE, BEDROOM, KITCHEN, ETC.?

Knowing that you have mice in your house doesn't necessarily mean that you've seen a live or dead mouse. These little rodents, although quite sneaky, do leave some tell-tale signs that they're around and you can confirm your suspicions quite easily.

If you hear scampering inside the walls or ceilings, especially at night, if you detect a distinct odor of urine or feces, if you see tiny mice droppings that look like black seeds, or if you find food bags that have been chewed through, you can be pretty confident that you have mice in your house.

Mice will make a home anywhere that is safe and dry. Because they breed all year round, they are constantly looking for material to build their nests and looking for food to feed their young. Bedrooms with darks closet corners, linen closets, pantries, kitchen cupboards, rarely worn shoes, clothes baskets and attics are favorite spaces for mice. They will build a nest out of shredded paper, pet fur, shredded clothes, or chewed wood which means that nothing is off limits to them. As long as they feel safe they will stay and breed in any corner of the house. They are also not picky eaters. They like to eat grains, cereals and fruits, but almost anything will do, and easy access to your pantry or badly wrapped food on the counter will be explored and feasted on by these tiny rodents.

If you find that you have mice in your house the first thing to do is discover how it got in.
