Tips on trapping rodents - So, you have a problem with an rodent and you want to sort it out? There is no need to worry or stress, these simple tips will give you helpful information on how to make sure your traps work to effectively and safely trap the nuisance animal so you can then go on ahead to release it or hand it over to the professionals to let them sort it out! Firstly, with live traps, you will need to choose bait. This could be cat food, sweet fruit like apples, or meat - you will find lots of information online on which bait to use, but a bit of trial and error on your part will soon lead you to the right ones. Make sure that your trap is on flat ground, with nothing around it, and cannot be moved. Although the possum may not look like much, it weighs in at around the same size of a cat and you will want to be sure the creature doesn't try to throw its weight around.
