Where can you get a trap for an animal under the shed - Finding a trap for an animal under your shed will depend on what animal you are after. A small animal, like a squirrel or a chipmunk, will take a significantly smaller trap than will a skunk or an opossum. Whichever animal you're after, make sure the trap is sized appropriately. A skunk won't go into a trap sized for a squirrel. Most cage traps can be rented at a rental company or they can be purchased at your local farm store. If you're trapping a skunk, there are special traps available online that have solid sides to prevent spray from reaching you. This isn't a necessity; you can accomplish the same thing by having your regular trap covered with a tarp or a heavy blanket. The goal is to eliminate the skunk's visual stimuli. If they are less than seven inches in length, you should leave them well alone as disturbing them at this young age will surely kill them. Also, it doesn't matter how big you think the possum looks, you should not try to raise it as a pet because they need very special care and there is a good chance that you are going to kill the poor thing. The best thing that you can do if you think you have baby possums, or you have seen them for yourself, is to call the local wildlife professionals to come in and remove them safely for you. There is no point in disturbing these creatures if you are going to end up killing them - they are not trying to upset you on purpose after all!
