If you are having a problem with wildlife in your Quebec City home, your best option is to hire a company that specializes in Canada wildlife removal only. This is a specialty business, and regular
pest control companies do not use the proper techniques to solve animal problems. I have spent many years reviewing Quebec City, and I recommend the following:

This Space Available specializes primarily in removing animals from attics of homes and buildings - this includes squirrels in attics, raccoons, and rats
or mice in homes. Canada also has a documented problem with
bats in buildings, and This Space Available is specially trained in bat removal. They also perform general wildlife trapping services, such as the capture and removal of skunks or opossums on the
property. Call ###-###-####
to discuss your critter problem and schedule a same-day or next-day appointment.
When hiring a company to solve your wild animal problem, you want these features:
- Specializes in wildlife removal, not pest control
- Fully Canada and Quebec Province licensed and insured
- Works 7 days per week (critters don't take weekends off)
- Performs full building inspections: enters and inspects attic
- Performs exclusion repairs, with guarantee against animal re-entry
- Offers cleanup of biohazardous wildlife waste
This Space Available is a full-service Quebec City wildlife removal company. This is very different from a regular Quebec City pest control company. The pest control companies spray poison to kill insects. This is not at all
similar to wildlife removal. This Space Available performs a full inspection of the home or property, and determines why the animal(s) are there, and if inside a building, how the animals got inside. All
animals (including rodents) are trapped and removed, or if possible, removed from the building using special exclusion devices. Once the animals are gone, preventative repairs are essential, and
cleanup is sometimes recommended.
Quebec City wildlife trapping - it's not as simple as it may seem. It's illegal in Canada to trap without a license. Trap type is very important and there are many different types, bait is somewhat relevant, trap placement
is vital, and there are dozens of small things that are very important to know.
Safety is a concern. Then once the animal is trapped, it must be removed and dealt with in the proper manner according to Canada law. We offer Quebec City raccoon removal. Read more about how to get rid of raccoons.
Animals in attics - this is our specialty at This Space Available. Many types of animals like to live in attics. This includes squirrels, raccoons, rats, mice, bats, birds, and even possums. Critters like to go into attics for a safe place to live
and raise their young. Removing animals from attics is very complex work, partly because of the presence of baby animals. If you need Quebec City squirrel removal, we can remove all the squirrels from your attic, and seal out any future ones. Read more about how to get rid of squirrels.
Rodent control must be done in a very specific way. First off, the most important thing is that all the openings that rats and mice can use to enter a house be sealed. Then all the rodents must be physically trapped and removed.
Never, ever use poison! Most Quebec City exterminators will just use this lazy poison technique to kill rodents, and it causes more harm than good - dead stinky rats, and it doesn't solve the problem. Call us for correct Quebec City rat removal. Read more about how to get rid of rats.
Bat removal is a highly specialized task. Canada is known to have colonizing bats who often live in buildings. Bats love attics. If not removed, the colony can grow to a very large size over the years. The bat droppings are often corrosive and
cause health risks. The same goes for bird droppings on or in buildings. We perform Quebec City pigeon removal and bird control. But our specialty is Quebec City bat removal. We remove 100% of the bat colony and seal the building so that it's totally bat-proof. Read more about how to get rid of bats.
If you have animals inside a house, no job is complete without proper exclusion repairs. If you simply hire a Quebec City trapper who only removes the critters, then the problem will return. You need to hire a Quebec City wildlife control company that identifies 100% of the animal entry points
into your building, and seals them shut with professional repairs. In addition, in many cases animals have left waste or contamination behind, and you'll want a company that can provide professional cleaning services. This Space Available does both.
The above are just some of the services offered by This Space Available. We also trap and remove animals that destroy lawns, such as moles, or digging animals. Sometimes animals like opossums will live under buildings, steal pet food, raid garbage cans, etc.
Read about how to get rid of opossums
. Skunks commonly live under sheds or decks, and set up a den. We can trap and remove them without them spraying. Read about how to get rid of skunks
. This Space Available
also provides dead animal removal in Quebec City. If you need help with any other wildlife conflict, from a fox, beaver, groundhog, or any other critter, we can solve it. We also do Quebec City snake removal - most of the snakes in Canada are not venomous, but
call us if you want safe removal, or read about how to get rid of snakes
in Quebec City. And remember, we are a private business, not Quebec Province Animal Control Services, so if you have a dog or cat problem, call the Province at (418) 527-9104.
Quebec Province animal services does not handle any wildlife issues.

Quebec City Wildlife Tip #1:
What damage can raccoons do to a house? - The raccoon, although a small creature is one that is going to make a right mess of your home, should it decide to move in there! Normally the mess and damage that the raccoon leaves behind is memorable because of things like a knocked over trash can and garbage strewn all over the place, but when you look at the tools that this animal has at its disposal, you will soon see the problems that you could be faced with. Just one look at the razor sharp teeth and claws and you will soon understand what you have let yourself in for! As well as a knocked over garbage can, you are likely to see a few more things in your yard or garden that would relate to the mess and damage left by an raccoon. The flowers that you have so lovingly grown - these are likely to be ripped up. Even worse than this, they will end up being pooped on and peed on by the creature that will, quite literally, go to the toilet wherever it wants to! The fruit and vegetables that you have growing in your yard - the raccoon will have a good go on these as well. As you can imagine, the situation is going to be strained! It gets even worse when the animal moves into your home, especially when you take a look at how costly the repair could be. You may need some re-wiring done after this anima, and many others like it, has a good old nibble on wires that it may come across in your attic or basement. The attic may even need new insulation once the creature has messed it up to make a cozy nest or left its droppings all over it. All in all, it could be said that this animal is a rather destructive one indeed!
Quebec City Wildlife Tip #2:
Skunk human hair - There are a lot of people in the world who have embraced the natural approach to just about everythingincluding pest control. When it comes to repelling skunks, using human hair is one of the first things you'll read about on "all natural" websites. In theory, human hair repels skunks because it smells strongly of humans, and skunks are scared of humans. While it makes sense on paper, the theory has been debunked in the field by professionals. Not only will a skunk disregard human hair, it will probably walk right over it to get into the yard. Without the physical presence of a predator, most animals like skunks don't put too much stock into items associated with smells. We don't give these creatures enough credit; if they don't see a predator, they aren't going to be concerned. Human hair is usually the first option, second only to the use of dog fur and mothballs. The interesting thing about mothballs is that they are a known carcinogen, and there is nothing natural or holistic about them. Just because they are inexpensive doesn't mean they are a user-friendly approach to pest control.
