Professional Wildlife Removal Company Servicing Wellsboro, PA

Wellsboro Wildlife Animal Control

If you are having a problem with wildlife in your Wellsboro home, your best option is to hire a company that specializes in Pennsylvania wildlife removal only. This is a specialty business, and regular pest control companies do not use the proper techniques to solve animal problems. I have spent many years reviewing Wellsboro, and I recommend the following:

Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control
Cell Phone: 570-240-4883

NOTE: If you have a dog or cat problem, call Tioga County Animal Services: (570) 724-3687

Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control specializes primarily in removing animals from attics of homes and buildings - this includes squirrels in attics, raccoons, and rats or mice in homes. Pennsylvania also has a documented problem with bats in buildings, and Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control is specially trained in bat removal. They also perform general wildlife trapping services, such as the capture and removal of skunks or opossums on the property. Call 570-240-4883 to discuss your critter problem and schedule a same-day or next-day appointment.

When hiring a company to solve your wild animal problem, you want these features:
    - Specializes in wildlife removal, not pest control
    - Fully Pennsylvania and Tioga County licensed and insured
    - Works 7 days per week (critters don't take weekends off)
    - Performs full building inspections: enters and inspects attic
    - Performs exclusion repairs, with guarantee against animal re-entry
    - Offers cleanup of biohazardous wildlife waste

Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control is a full-service Wellsboro wildlife removal company. This is very different from a regular Wellsboro pest control company. The pest control companies spray poison to kill insects. This is not at all similar to wildlife removal. Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control performs a full inspection of the home or property, and determines why the animal(s) are there, and if inside a building, how the animals got inside. All animals (including rodents) are trapped and removed, or if possible, removed from the building using special exclusion devices. Once the animals are gone, preventative repairs are essential, and cleanup is sometimes recommended.

Wellsboro wildlife trapping - it's not as simple as it may seem. It's illegal in Pennsylvania to trap without a license. Trap type is very important and there are many different types, bait is somewhat relevant, trap placement is vital, and there are dozens of small things that are very important to know. Safety is a concern. Then once the animal is trapped, it must be removed and dealt with in the proper manner according to Pennsylvania law. We offer Wellsboro raccoon removal.   Animals in attics - this is our specialty at Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control. Many types of animals like to live in attics. This includes squirrels, raccoons, rats, mice, bats, birds, and even possums. Critters like to go into attics for a safe place to live and raise their young. Removing animals from attics is very complex work, partly because of the presence of baby animals. If you need Wellsboro squirrel removal, we can remove all the squirrels from your attic, and seal out any future ones. Read more about how to get rid of squirrels.
Rodent control must be done in a very specific way. First off, the most important thing is that all the openings that rats and mice can use to enter a house be sealed. Then all the rodents must be physically trapped and removed. Never, ever use poison! Most Wellsboro exterminators will just use this lazy poison technique to kill rodents, and it causes more harm than good - dead stinky rats, and it doesn't solve the problem. Call us for correct Wellsboro rat removal. Read more about how to get rid of rats.
Bat removal is a highly specialized task. Pennsylvania is known to have colonizing bats who often live in buildings. Bats love attics. If not removed, the colony can grow to a very large size over the years. The bat droppings are often corrosive and cause health risks. The same goes for bird droppings on or in buildings. We perform Wellsboro pigeon removal and bird control. But our specialty is Wellsboro bat removal. We remove 100% of the bat colony and seal the building so that it's totally bat-proof. Read more about how to get rid of bats.
If you have animals inside a house, no job is complete without proper exclusion repairs. If you simply hire a Wellsboro trapper who only removes the critters, then the problem will return. You need to hire a Wellsboro wildlife control company that identifies 100% of the animal entry points into your building, and seals them shut with professional repairs. In addition, in many cases animals have left waste or contamination behind, and you'll want a company that can provide professional cleaning services. Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control does both.
The above are just some of the services offered by Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control. We also trap and remove animals that destroy lawns, such as moles, or digging animals. Sometimes animals like opossums will live under buildings, steal pet food, raid garbage cans, etc. Read about how to get rid of opossums. Skunks commonly live under sheds or decks, and set up a den. We can trap and remove them without them spraying. Read about how to get rid of skunks. Fur and Feathers Wildlife Control also provides dead animal removal in Wellsboro. If you need help with any other wildlife conflict, from a fox, beaver, groundhog, or any other critter, we can solve it. We also do Wellsboro snake removal - most of the snakes in Pennsylvania are not venomous, but call us if you want safe removal, or read about how to get rid of snakes in Wellsboro. And remember, we are a private business, not Tioga County Animal Control Services, so if you have a dog or cat problem, call the County at (570) 724-3687. Tioga County animal services does not handle any wildlife issues.

Wellsboro Wildlife Tip #1:
How Do I Clean Squirrel Feces Out Of My Attic?

If you think that you have completely gotten rid of the squirrels in your house and also have shut all the areas of re-invasion then do not think that your job is complete yet. There is another problem that you have to take care of and that is squirrel feces. You have to clean up your whole house and check for the locations where squirrel feces is present as it can be dangerous for everyone present in the house, be it small children, pets, etc.

You will mostly find that the vast amount of squirrel feces will be present in your attic along with the urine. So the first thing you have to do is wear proper protection. The feces of the squirrel is dangerous to humans as it carries spores and bacteria. When it comes in contact of humans, can cause havoc to the internal system. So if you are cleaning the squirrel feces all by yourself, wear protective clothing and wear a mask along with the googles so that you do not inhale anything and make sure that area is well ventilated.

After getting into a proper protection gear, clean up the feces with the dust pan and after the process is done, spray the whole area with the enzyme sprays that are easily available at any local store. There is no need at all to spend huge amount of money just to remove the squirrel feces. Also there is one thing to note that you should not use bleach mixture that is a combination of bleach with ammonia. That never works as people have tested it many times.

Let the spray dry well and assess that if you need to apply it again or not. Wet the whole place down with wet water and if you are still getting that fussy smell, do the process all over again until you are certain that the smell is gone.

After all of it, you can paint the whole area with Alkyd-based primer. You can also replace the insulation if it is full of droppings. It is because removing the squirrel feces from the insulation is a difficult task. So it is really easy to remove the insulation all together instead of trying to clean it. If you can see rub marks on the siding, remove them with painting or cleaning.

If you are really serious about cleaning, you can also go for respirator. Make sure it is the one which removes solvents too. So now if you complete the whole process as described, your whole attic would be clean of squirrel feces and thus would no longer pose danger to other people.

Wellsboro Wildlife Tip #2:

Pennsylvania Wildlife Information:

Pennsylvania State bird: Ruffed grouse
State mammal: White-tailed deer
tate insect: 7-spotted ladybug, Pennsylvania firefly
State fish: Brook trout

You can find a variety of landscapes in Pennsylvania, though the majority of the state is covered in forest. Pennsylvania has a fair amount of flat land and a fair amount of mountainous land. No matter where you go, you are bound to run into wildlife. Warm-loving animals will not be so inclined to live in this state, though the southern region has more mild temperatures than the mountainous north. Because of the slight temperature difference, snakes and amphibians are more populous in the south. Rattlesnakes, one of the venomous snakes in the state, are only found in the lower aspect of Pennsylvania. Smaller snakes, like the garter snake, make their home just about anywhere they can find.

Reptiles aren't the only critters that like Pennsylvania. The state has hundreds of sheltered ponds and lakes, and this promotes a healthy population of beavers, otters, and muskrats. Other semi-aquatic animals include the snapping turtle and the common water snake.

Of predators, Pennsylvania has only two large mammalian carnivores. The black bear and coyote are at the top of the food chain in this state, though there have been numerous sightings of mountain lions over the last decade. The state's Department of Fish and Game adamantly dismisses the rumors, and has been able to disprove most of the sightings. Still, many residents feel there is a breeding population of the large cats somewhere in the state. Black bear, though destructive when they find a bird feeder or an open garbage can, are not seen as commonly as coyotes. There has been a large increase in the coyote population; likely due to almost no predation and ample supply of white-tailed deer and other small game. Because of the abundance of wildlife, coyotes are usually only problematic if they are in an urban area. In this setting, the canines can become bold and dangerous, threatening house pets and small children.

Still, the most popular home invaders in Pennsylvania are of a much smaller size. Raccoons and squirrels are always on the hunt for an empty attic, and rats and mice will take any opportunity to sneak into a home. Woodchucks are just as common and irritating; the stout creatures quickly moving in under unprotected decks and patios.

If homeowners are really unlucky, they will forget to secure their pet door at night and will wake up to find a porcupine has entered the house looking for cat food.
