Will repellents get flying squirrels out of the attic?

Once you have removed the squirrels then the next and the most important step is to make sure that they never enter your attic or property again. To do, the first thing you need to do is close all the entrances to your property and attic. It may sound easy, but trust us it is very difficult. These flying squirrels have a very strong sense of smell and they tend to leave a scent trail behind. Other squirrels have the ability to follow this scent and they then reside on your property. The scent of smell remains there for about a year or more after these flying squirrels have left the place. So, when you seal the path from where the previous squirrels entered, you are also eliminating the entry point of new squirrels. Below we have listed some very effective and efficient flying squirrels’ repellent.

Flying squirrel repellent spray

Many products are available in the market that has the ability to discourage the invasion for new squirrels. They have a very bad taste and it is impossible for the flying squirrels to stand them. You need to spray them in the area you think the flying squirrel might chew. Whatever they eat from the place where the spray is sprayed they will simply hate that place and never come back to that place again.

Flying squirrel repellent granules

Critter rid is another effective and excellent repellent that is used to avoid the invasion of flying squirrels onto your property. It is a granule so you can easily spray it on the areas that you have seen the squirrels previously. You should use it in the attic, soffits and wall voids. The material slowly evaporates and it leaves a smell behind. This smell is hated by flying squirrels and they don’t come near the place that is emitting this smell. One application is going to last for four to six week if it is outside and it lasts three months when it is used inside. Remember, you can’t use this product to get rid of the squirrels that are already residing on your property. You just can prevent the invasion of new squirrels.

Flying squirrel sound repellent

Flying squirrels are do not like transonic sound. You need to keep this sound on most of the time. Since the sound can be heard by humans thus it might become annoying especially at night when you are trying to sleep. This sound isn’t harmful but it is definitely going to be irritating. But this is perfect repellent for areas that are far away from where the house owner lives.

You can use anyone of the repellents that are mentioned above in order to get rid of the annoying creatures. These repellents will help you make sure that you have a house free from the flying squirrels. Go back to the How to get rid of flyingsquirrels home page.
