Does rope act as a snake repellent?

This is just a mere myth, rope doesn’t act as a repellent on snakes but there are other products that you can to prevent snakes from invading your back yard. Actually, there are multiple steps that can be used in order to repel these reptiles from your law, house, back yard and garden. It is also wise to always wise to start with techniques that are safe and less radical but effective against snakes before advancing to the severe techniques for instance chemical methods



The first repellent is to never make your property attractive to snakes and this can always be achieved by ensuring that you regularly clear any pile of debris and leaves from your back yard or garden. It is also important to ensure that there are no barns or holes around the house because they act as the best habitat for these reptiles. Therefore, if there is nothing attractive in your home like food and shelter, snakes will not invade your home.

Remember that it is safe to keep away from these animals because they are capable of harming you when they get the chance; in that some are likely to bite you with their poisonous venom or suffocate you to death. Therefore, it is always advisable to use repellents that will keep them away.

Snake repellent balls
Moth balls can always be used as snake repellents balls especially in the backyard and in most cases they work because they contain naphthalene which is a chemical that always irritates the chemical receptors of many animals including snakes.

You have to be careful when using these balls, ensure that you wear protective gear and you can mix them with cat litter to make them more effective. Sprinkle the mixture at the perimeter of your of your homestead. Moth balls do not harm snakes in any way but they will always repel them away.

You can also opt for the snake sprays and liquids because of several reasons:
  • They are very effective
  • They are safe for plants because they do not contain harmful chemical
  • They provide a long lasting effect; in other words they are durable
  • Very easy to use; all you have to do is to sprinkle them along the perimeter of your home
  • Regardless of where the snakes are hiding, liquids and sprays can reach them
  • They will always keep snakes away
